Terms of service
These terms apply when you use https://neonerdedu.com or book a class with Neonate Nerds Edu, LLC. By booking, you accept them. The cancellation & refund policy forms part of these terms.
Effective September 17, 2026 · Version v1.0
1. Who we are
Neonate Nerds Edu, LLC is a California limited liability company based in Fontana, California, providing instructor-led certification training across the Inland Empire and greater Southern California. Classes are taught by Aishah Mandeel, DNP, MSN, RN, CPNP, RNC-OB, C-EFM.
2. The booking contract
- Submitting the booking form reserves a seat for the class, date, time and option shown on your confirmation.
- Your booking is personal to the attendee named on it and cannot be resold or transferred to another person without our agreement.
- Where you book more than one seat, you are responsible for making sure each attendee knows these terms, the cancellation policy, and what to bring.
- We may decline or cancel a booking if the information given is false, if a class is full, or if a learner is not eligible for the certification level booked.
- Written quotes and confirmations for private classes form part of the contract for that booking.
3. Prices and payment
- Prices are shown in US dollars and are per seat unless stated otherwise.
- Prices cover instruction, use of equipment, skills practice and skills testing. They do not cover third-party costs — for example the HealthStream fee for NRP Part 1 online (currently $35), or the AWHONN Intermediate Course Student Pack, which you buy from the publisher.
- Publishing errors are possible: where a price is obviously wrong we will tell you before taking payment and you may cancel without charge.
- Card payments are processed by a third-party payment processor; we never store your card details on this website.
- A seat is held from the moment you submit the booking form. If payment is not made within 72 hours the seat may be released to another attendee.
- Sales tax is not currently applied to course fees; if that changes, it will be shown at payment before you confirm.
4. Course requirements and completion
- Attendance alone does not earn a card. You must demonstrate the required skills to the instructor’s sign-off standard, in line with the certifying body’s requirements.
- Some courses have prerequisites that are your responsibility to complete: NRP requires the online Part 1 and a current Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation; Intermediate Fetal Monitoring requires its pre-course work 2 days before the course.
- Bring photo ID and any prerequisite documentation. Without them, skills sign-off may not be possible on the day.
- Provider e-cards and contact-hour certificates are issued by the certifying bodies — the American Heart Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics and AWHONN — not by us. Their rules on validity, renewal and card replacement apply.
- We do not control the issuing bodies’ systems, including e-card portals and online-learning platforms, and we are not responsible for delays or outages on those platforms.
5. Safety, conduct and physical participation
- Our classes involve physical skills practice: kneeling, bending, performing chest compressions on manikins, and using training equipment. You take part on the basis that you are physically able to do so.
- Tell us before the class about any injury, condition, pregnancy or limitation that affects your ability to do the practical work, so we can adapt the session for you.
- Attendees must follow the instructor’s safety instructions, treat other attendees with respect, and not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs that impair their ability to take part safely.
- We may end an attendee’s participation, without refund, for unsafe or abusive behaviour, or for disrupting the class.
- Equipment is training equipment and is not to be used on any person except as instructed.
6. Assumption of risk and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by California law: you take part in practical training at your own risk, and you release Neonate Nerds Edu, LLC and Aishah Mandeel from liability for injury or loss arising from your participation, except where caused by our negligence or a breach of these terms. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of earnings, profit or opportunity. Our total liability for any claim relating to a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Attending a course does not certify you as competent to practise beyond the scope of the certification you held or obtained, and does not create a clinical relationship or guarantee employment outcomes.
7. Photography and recording
Photographs or recordings of the instructor’s slides, videos, handouts or scenarios are not permitted without written permission — course materials are owned by the certifying bodies and are licensed to us for teaching. We may occasionally photograph a class for our own records or marketing; if you would prefer not to appear, tell us before the class starts or on the day and we will leave you out.
8. Intellectual property
The course content, slides, workbook material, scenario designs and forms belong to the certifying bodies or to us, as applicable, and are protected by their rights under the relevant provider agreements. The design, copy, photography and code of this website belong to Neonate Nerds Edu, LLC and may not be copied for commercial use.
9. Trademarks
American Heart Association, AHA, Heartsaver, BLS and ACLS are trademarks of the American Heart Association. NRP® is a registered trademark of the American Academy of Pediatrics. AWHONN is a registered trademark of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses. We are an independent training provider; course materials and provider cards are issued through the respective bodies under their rules.
10. Third-party links
This site links to third-party platforms, including HealthStream and certifying-body portals. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, availability, terms or privacy practices.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version and effective date at the top of this page show when they last changed. The terms in force when you booked apply to that booking; changes apply to bookings made after the update.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. The courts of San Bernardino County, California have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Before taking a formal step, please email billing@neonerdedu.com — most problems are solved with one conversation.
