Neonate Nerds Edu Certification training for people who care for mothers & newborns
Seats are capped at 12 per class. Cancellations inside 72 hours forfeit the fee — read the cancellation policy before you book.

Policies, in plain language

The rules that apply when you book a class. The cancellation rule is the one that matters most — it's the first thing on this page, and you agree to it when you submit the booking form.

Effective September 17, 2026 · Version v1.0

The short version — cancellation

Cancelling 72 hours or more before your class: you may move your booking to the same class on a different date. The moved booking is then non-refundable — you can move it once, and after that the fee is committed.

Cancelling inside 72 hours of your class: the fee you have paid is forfeited. There is no refund and no transfer.

Cancellation & refund policy

This policy is part of the contract between you and Neonate Nerds Edu, LLC when you book a seat. It applies to bookings made on this website, by email, by phone, or in person.

Moving your booking

  • Outside the 72-hour window you may transfer to the same class on another published date. One transfer per booking.
  • A transferred booking is non-refundable — moving it back, or cancelling afterwards, forfeits the fee.
  • Tell us in writing (email is fine) with your booking reference, and we will confirm the new date and release your original seat.
  • If the class you move to is priced differently, we will tell you the difference before confirming.

Cancelling your booking

  • Inside 72 hours of the class start time: the fee is forfeited. Seats can’t be resold at short notice, and materials and equipment are committed to your place.
  • Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may mean we ask for payment up front for future bookings.
  • If you pay for multiple seats and cancel some of them, the same rule applies to each seat.

No-shows and late arrival

  • Not attending without cancelling is a no-show and forfeits the fee.
  • Arrive 5–10 minutes early. If you arrive after the skills portion has started we may not be able to sign you off, and that counts as a no-show.
  • Bring photo ID — the name on your provider card must match it. Without photo ID we may have to postpone your skills sign-off.
  • For NRP, arrive without your Part 1 online completion certificate and and the required textbook and you cannot be signed off on the day.
  • For Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, the pre-course work must be complete 2 days before the course, and your Student Pack is required.

If we cancel or move a class

  • We will contact you as soon as we know, using the details on your booking.
  • You choose: a full refund of the class fee, or a place on the next available date of the same class.
  • Refunds are made to the original payment method. Where the original method can’t be refunded, we will agree an alternative with you.
  • Fees you have paid directly to a third party are not refundable by us — for example the HealthStream fee for NRP Part 1 online, or the AWHONN Student Pack purchased from Kendall Hunt. Those transactions are between you and that provider.
  • Rushed e-card fees (an optional $25 for AHA cards needed inside 48 hours) are passed to the issuing body as soon as they are requested and cannot be refunded once submitted.

Private classes

  • Private bookings are confirmed once you approve the written quote; nothing is charged before then.
  • A private class cancelled 72 hours or more before the start may be moved once to another open date at the same location, at no extra cost.
  • A private class cancelled inside 72 hours, or a no-show group, is chargeable in full — staff and equipment are committed to your date.
  • Travel already incurred, and any materials ordered specifically for your group, are not refundable.

Payments, card charges and disputes

  • Card payments are processed by our payment processor; this website never sees or stores your card number.
  • Please bring a payment dispute to us first — email billing@neonerdedu.com with your reference and we will resolve it.
  • Seats are held from the moment the booking form is submitted, even if payment is made later. Hold expires after 72 hours without payment, and the seat may be released.

Weather and events outside our control

If a class can’t run because of a facility closure, a public health order, or an emergency that affects the instructor, we treat it as “if we cancel” above: your choice of a full refund or a place on the next available date. If you can’t travel to class for a reason outside your control, contact us — we would rather move your booking than take your fee, when the circumstances allow it.

Certification is not guaranteed

Provider cards and contact-hour certificates are issued by the certifying bodies (AHA, AAP, AWHONN), not by us. We provide the instruction, the equipment, the practice time and the skills sign-off. If a learner cannot demonstrate the required skills on the day, we will coach and re-test where time allows; if it still isn’t met, the fee is not refundable, but we will offer a discounted return session. This is a safety standard, not a penalty.

Consent to be contacted

When you book, you give us your contact details so we can run the booking: confirmation, payment instructions, reminders, and any change to the date or venue. Those messages are part of the service and are not marketing.

Marketing messages — upcoming class dates and offers — are sent only if you tick the optional marketing box on the booking form. Untick it and you will only receive messages about bookings you have actually made. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to a text or using the unsubscribe link in an email, or by emailing hello@neonerdedu.com. Message and data rates may apply to SMS. We don’t buy or sell contact lists.

Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to book a class and complete it. On this website that means:

  • semantic HTML with real headings, labels and landmarks, so screen readers and keyboard navigation work;
  • a skip link, visible focus states, and forms that can be completed and submitted without a mouse;
  • colour contrast chosen for readability, and no information conveyed by colour alone;
  • the class calendar also rendered as a text agenda on small screens and without JavaScript;
  • content sized in relative units so text can be enlarged without breaking the layout;
  • respect for the reduced-motion setting on your device.

In the classroom, tell us what you need when you book: seating, extra time for skills practice, a written copy of instructions, a quiet space to take a break, or an interpreter. We will arrange what we can, and tell you honestly if we can’t.

If any part of this website or a class is difficult to use, email hello@neonerdedu.com with the page or the task you were trying to complete. We treat accessibility problems as bugs and aim to fix them promptly.
